I haven't seen Phoenix around recently.
I've see Diego, of course, but then, that's to be expected. I think I'd like to get together with him and Balthier, that man he's always talking about.
I think I'd even like to see Miles or Miss Von Karma as they've been missing a bit as well.
I suppose even Gumshoe would be better company, even though he is massively obnoxious at times.
Or perhaps I just need to get out more.
......
Hm...
So this Patrick Stewart guy. He's got a nice voice.
Maybe it's just the character. Or characters. They all seem to wear awkward outfits. Suits of black and some other colour based on rank, I guess.
Highly interesting.

Kitten...
I sort of liked it.
I had this fascinating cup of tea today.
Coffee and tea put together. I think even Godot would approve.
It was... Oh, what was it?
I know it was iced, and they did the strangest thing. They put whipped cream on top.
In fact, that's the only good thing about today.

I went from being one of the best lawyers in Los Angeles to... doing nails on a planet in the middle of nowhere.
That's all right.
My student became a pianist.
At a love hotel.
I don't feel so bad anymore.
Diego, what are you doing, anyway?
I'm thinking we should grab some coffee and tea.

As the trial has been going on, I've been holed up in my quarters trying to prepare everything. I don't remember things being this hectic for the Fey Law & Offices Company. I'm thinking that the young judge put in charge is probably to be held responsible. He seemed a little... off to me. Just a little.
Every time I see everyone together, I want to join the crowd as I used to, but somehow I think all of you are a bit frightened to see me. It's as though you're seeing a ghost of types.
Maya, perhaps you're the better ice breaker. Or even Larry Butz. I seem to remember him. Phoenix's first big break, after all. He must be good for something.

...What... is this?
Not once have my books ever mentioned that this may happen in the midst of a murder taking place.
I was waiting for Maya. I had something to give to her, and this man showed himself into my office. Pretending I thought he was looking for representation, it seemed like a good idea to place Phoenix upon the case. That was not the way things were meant to go, however, and even I should have anticipated such. Naivety should have been left for my younger years when I was still working for Grossberg.
This is not Los Angeles.
I found myself in a bare room in a very non-flattering position. There was no expected impact to my cranium. There was no tension whatsoever, only me sprawled upon the ground, staring at the face of a young man. I believe he said his name was Yuber. He handed me some sort of application, asking me about myself and where I come from. Upon completion, he pushed me rather hastily out the door.
Welcome to Ares Arcanum. Get comfortable, because you are going to be here for a very long time.
Excuse me?
Is this a prison of some kind? If it is, it's nothing like I've ever seen. Certainly not the detention centre back from home.
I was sent to a bustling metropolis by the name of Arcadia. It is lively and filled with people. I think I'm going to like it, assuming it really isn't a prison of sorts.
I was also told I was to be a paralegal for the People's Court in the Fountain of Youth, which is apparently where I came from. What annoys me a little is the idea that I had my own office back in LA, but instead, I now need to answer to someone above me, just like before I had Fey & Co.
As of this moment, I don't know who my supervisor is, but I imagine I'll find out tomorrow.
I will need to continue my investigation for the time being.
Is there anyone willing to give me some information on Arcadia, and on this establishment in general? It will all be confidential, I assure you.
